Description of the artwork

Deep in the Écrins national park in the French alps, you´ll find this mystical, forceful river. "If the river was to take my body, would the soul remain in the mountains?", I asked myself as I walked along the roaring sounds of the rapid one evening. It was high up now, the sweeping mist was getting thicker, and with every step the glacier felt closer. I turned around to catch a warm glow from a fire and a couple of torches on a hill, so I walked back, climbed up and pitched the shelter a little closer to the human voices.

The hours of the night grew increasingly colder, and yet, the song of the river enchanted the senses into slumber. Like the warm body of a loved one, rocking you gently to sleep.
