1. General
https://www.sarahbillengren.com and its subdomains are operated by Sarah Billengren. Throughout this site, the terms “we”, “us” and “I” refers to Sarah Billengren, who offers all services available on this site. The following terms and conditions apply to all users of this website and related pages (e.g. https://shop.sarahbillengren.com ), whether you are (and not limited to) a browser, customer, vendor, merchant or collaborating partner. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this site.
The terms and conditions will be updated and/or changed regularly as the art business expands. The latest update can be accessed anytime, and it is your responsibility to check this page for possible changes.
https://www.sarahbillengren.com is hosted by Squarespace, Inc., while the accompanied store at https://shop.sarahbillengren.com is hosted by Shopify, Inc. The latter provides an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
To purchase from this website, you must, according to Swedish law be at least 18 years old. All customers are hereafter referred to as “customer” or “you”. By placing an order on the website, you also confirm that you have read and agreed with our Privacy policy.
1.2 Copyright
All artistic work featured on this website (paintings, photographs, text and videos) are protected under Copyright law, and may not be copied or used without Sarah Billengren´s consent. Violations will have legal repercussions.
2. Collection of personal data

3. Orders
Once an order has been placed on the website, a purchase agreement has been entered into by the customer and Sarah Billengren. The order confirmation is the receipt that the purchase has been completed, and it is highly recommended that you save it for any future contact regarding your order.
It is your responsibility that the information provided, such as name, address, email address and phone number, is correct and up to date.
You may cancel your order until you have received an order confirmation. If the order is cancelled, you will be refunded any payments that may have been made. If you wish to cancel your order after an order confirmation has been received, send an email to support@sarahbillengren.com as soon as possible. After an order has been sent, any cancellations will be treated as a return (see section 6).
4. Prices and Payments
The prices apply to orders placed on this website. Prices include VAT within the European Union (12% for original artworks, 25% for Fine Art Prints and smaller items). VAT is not included for countries outside the EU.
You as a customer are responsible for any custom duties applied to the country where the product is delivered.

A shipping fee is added on orders under 849 SEK (equivalent to 873 NOK, 550 DKK, 73 EUR, 69 CHF and 10 816 ISK), after which free shipping is applied.
The shipping fee for domestic orders is 49 SEK, and for international orders 119 SEK (equivalent to 122 NOK, 77 DKK, 10 EUR, 10 CHF and 624 ISK).
All payment options on this website use advanced encryption and fraud protection according to the highest security standards. To offer you a safe e-commerce experience, the following payments are available:
* Debit or Credit card via Stripe – Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Available to all customers.
* Klarna. Available to all customers within the EU, Norway and Switzerland.
The available payment methods for Klarna (Pay now, Pay Later and Slice it) are decided upon your country and previous order history.
* PayPal. Available to all customers.
* Google Pay. Available to all customers.
* Apple Pay. Available to all customers.
Sarah Billengren has the right to debit the customer when the order has been confirmed, unless invoicing or a delayed payment method via Klarna has been chosen.
5. Shipping and delivery
Processing an order from purchase to shipping takes 3-5 working days*, to allow for safe preparation and packaging of your artwork, whether it would be an original piece, Fine Art Print or a smaller item. For custom orders, see section 8. Smaller items and Fine Art Prints up to size 21 x 29,7 cm (8,27 x 11,29 inches) are sent in flat packages, and Fine Art Prints in size 29,7 x 42 cm (11,29 x 16,54 inches) are sent in tubes covered by a box. Original artworks are sent in flat packages with sturdy protection. An order containing products from several of these categories (i.e. one Fine Art Print in the smaller size and one in the larger) will thus be sent in two different packages. You will receive the tracking number for each package when they leave Sarah Billengren´s warehouse.
Parcels are shipped with PostNord, and delivery time varies depending on your chosen delivery method and which country the packages are sent to. For domestic orders, estimate between 1 – 4 working days from shipment to delivery depending on your chosen delivery method. For international orders, estimate between 2 – 5 working days**.
If the delivery is delayed more than 30 days after an order confirmation has been sent, you have the right to cancel your order (not applicable to custom orders).
Sarah Billengren is responsible for the transport risks until the package has been delivered to you, after which the transport risks are transferred to you as a customer. Any damage discovered on the product needs to be reported to our customer support as soon as possible, preferably on the same day as delivery, so that we can help you with the complaint. The complaint needs to be filed with the courier within 1-3 days, and it is therefore important that you unpack and inspect the products as soon as possible. To report the damage, send an email to support@sarahbillengren.com with attached pictures of the product and the packaging. Should the damage be visible on the outer packaging, we kindly ask you to also notify PostNord upon arrival.

**In the initial phase of this store, we are shipping to the following countries:
Sweden, Norway (including Svalbard), Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands), Finland (excluding Åland), Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Irland, Croatia, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein, Malta, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
6. Withdrawal and return policy
As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw your purchase within 14 days after you receive your ordered product(s). Should the final day of the withdrawal period take place on a weekend or a national holiday, the right of withdrawal will be extended to the following weekday.
If you should use your right of withdrawal, contact support@sarahbillengren.com for withdrawal registration. In the message, specify your name, address, order reference and the name of the product you wish to return. You also need to add the receipt of your purchase. After registration, you will receive confirmation of your withdrawal, with instructions about the return shipping. You as a customer are responsible for the condition of the purchased product(s) after it has been delivered to you, and during the return shipping. Please note that all physical artworks, including original paintings and drawings, as well as Fine Art Prints are fragile, and need to be handled with great care. The product must be returned in its original packaging within 14 days after the date Sarah Billengren was notified of its withdrawal.
As a customer, you are responsible for the transport risks and costs for the return shipping. Sarah Billengren does not cover the cost of lost or damaged products during the return shipping, and it is therefore of utmost importance to use a trackable shipping service and preferably to have the product insured. It is suggested to save the tracking number and proof of postage until Sarah Billengren has received the return.
After the product has been received and inspected, an email will be sent to you to confirm the return and let you know if a refund is applicable. To be eligible for a full refund, the product must be unused and in the same condition as you received it. If the product shows any signs of defect, additional costs will be subtracted from the refund equivalent to the level of alteration. Please note that the initial shipping costs (if applied) will not be refunded. Once this process has ensued, a refund (if applicable) will be made to you by using the same method of payment as you previously used to purchase the product(s).
6.1 Exceptions from the right to withdrawal
As commissioned pieces, i.e. custom orders are made after your specifications, they excerpt from the right to withdrawal.
6.2 Non retrieved parcel /wrong shipping address
Non retrieved parcels or returned parcels in the event of a wrongly stated shipping address, will be billed according to the true shipping cost, along with an administrative fee. Neglecting to pick up the parcel does not equal to using your right of withdrawal. The fee you will be charged is the following (depending on the currency):

7. Warranty and complaints
It is of utmost importance to us that you are content with your order. Should you notice any defects, you must make a complaint to Sarah Billengren within a reasonable time after the defect was discovered. A complaint issued within 2 months is considered a reasonable time. As a customer, you have the legal right to make a complaint up to 3 years after you purchase a product, according to the Consumers Sales Act.
If you wish to assert your right to file a complaint, send an email to support@sarahbillengren.com as soon as possible after discovering the defect.
8. Custom orders
8.1 Original artworks
To commission an original artwork, send an email to sarah.billengren@gmail.com, use the contact form on this website, or send a private message over social media to discuss your wishes and to receive a quote. After details of the project have been established (subject, size, timeframe, revisions, cost etc.), a contract will be drafted and signed between you and Sarah Billengren. Before work can commence, you´ll be asked to pay 30% of the total cost upfront, to cover expenses for materials and the initial work, using the agreed upon payment method. After completion of the artwork and final approval, you will be asked to pay the remainder of the total cost before delivery.
Please keep in mind that a commissioned piece may take anywhere from several weeks to several months to complete, and that work can commence once there is a time slot available from other existing projects. Sarah Billengren reserves the right to decline any proposed projects, and will then, if possible, refer you to another artist who might be better suited for your wishes.
Sarah Billengren retains all copyright to her work.
8.2 Illustration works
To commission an illustration, send an email to sarah.billengren@gmail.com, use the contact form on this website, or contact me via phone to discuss your project ideas and wishes. After we have discussed the details of the project (such as subject, size, licensing, timeframe and revisions), you´ll be presented with a quote. Upon acceptance of a quote, a contract will be drafted and signed between you and Sarah Billengren, where we will establish all details of the project, along with payment schedule. For your convenience, you may split the payment into two or three parts. An invoice for the first payment will be sent to you directly after a contract has been signed, to cover the costs of materials and initial work. Upon delivery of the project, you´ll receive an invoice for the final payment.
Please keep in mind that a commissioned piece may take several weeks to several months to complete. When you commission an illustration, you pay for the work and time it takes to produce it, and the predetermined usage. Unless agreed, the original artwork is not included. Sarah Billengren retains all copyright to her work, and if you at a later stage would like to extend the usage of the illustration to what was previously agreed, a new contract will be signed to cover that license. Sarah Billengren reserves the right to decline any proposed projects, and will then, if possible, refer you to another artist who might be better suited for your wishes.
8.3 Licensing
To license the digital file of an artwork, send an email to sarah.billengren@gmail.com, or use the contact form on this website to discuss the details of the usage and to get a quote. Upon acceptance of a quote, a contract will be drafted and signed by you and Sarah Billengren. An invoice for the payment will thereafter be sent to you. Sarah Billengren retains all copyright of her work.
9. Force majeure
During circumstances beyond our control, such as national states of emergency, war, strikes, extreme weather, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, sabotage, measures taken by national governments, major accidents, if the company has been subjected to criminal activity, or blockades during transport, the performance of the agreement is expected to be prevented or delayed. Should any such circumstances arise, we will inform the customer accordingly. If the situation has lasted more than 8 weeks, both the customer and Sarah Billengren have the right to cancel the purchase with immediate effect. In these situations, Sarah Billengren shall be exempt from damages and other measures.
